18th Debut Catering,
Done Right at Scale.

Eighteen roses, eighteen candles, eighteen treasures, a full cotillion program running for hours with the kitchen expected to keep pace the entire time.

A debut runs longer
than almost any other event.

The real risk

A traditional Filipino debut is not a two-hour dinner. Between the 18 roses, 18 candles, 18 treasures, the program can run four hours or longer, and the kitchen has to hold food quality and timing across the entire stretch, not just at one seated dinner service.

This is where an inexperienced caterer shows its limits: food that was fine at hour one goes cold or runs short by hour three, right as the most photographed parts of the program (the candle dance, the father-daughter dance) are happening. The debutante's family is hosting everyone who matters to them, for an event that will not happen again.

We vet specifically for caterers who have run long-program events before, not just short receptions.

Full cotillion, or a
simpler modern debut.

By program format
Traditional Format

Full 18 Roses & 18 Candles

The traditional format runs the complete program: 18 Roses (dance partners), 18 Candles (well-wishers), and often 18 Treasures (gift-givers) too, stretching the event past four hours once speeches and dances are included. Food service needs to span that entire window without the buffet looking picked-over by hour three.

This format usually means a larger guest list too, both families plus all 18-times-three participants and their own plus-ones, frequently pushing past 100 guests.

Catering watch-out: Ask specifically how your caterer replenishes a buffet across a four-plus-hour program, and whether staffing includes someone dedicated to monitoring food levels throughout, not just at the start.
Modern Format

Simplified Debut

Many families now run a shortened version: a candle-lighting or a rose ceremony alone, sometimes both compressed into 30 to 45 minutes rather than the full triple sequence, followed by a more standard dinner-and-dancing reception. This suits smaller guest lists and shorter overall event windows, closer to a birthday party in pacing than a full cotillion.

Catering for this format looks much closer to a standard milestone birthday: a solid buffet or plated dinner sized to a two to three hour reception, without the multi-hour holding challenge of the full traditional program.

Catering watch-out: Tell your caterer up front which format you are running. A vendor quoting based on a standard two-hour reception will understaff or underplan for a full four-hour cotillion program, and the reverse wastes budget on a simplified event.

Common questions.

Before you ask

How much does debut catering cost in the Philippines?

Debut catering generally follows the same per-head structure as wedding catering: roughly 700 to 1,000 pesos per head for a basic buffet, up to 1,800 pesos and above for a fuller plated menu with styling. Your actual quote depends on guest count, menu and how long your program runs. We do not publish fixed prices; every debut is quoted individually.

What should a debut catering package include?

At minimum: a full buffet or plated menu, service staff for your guest count, tables and chairs, and basic setup. Many packages add a cake table, a dessert station, and staff scheduled to match your program length rather than a standard two-hour service window.

Can catering handle an 18 roses and 18 candles program?

Yes, this is specifically what we vet for on this occasion page. A caterer suited to a short reception is not automatically suited to a four-hour cotillion; we check for the latter before a vendor is matched to your debut.

How many guests attend a typical debut?

Filipino debuts commonly run 50 to 150 guests depending on family size and the 18 roses and 18 candles list. We manage debuts at 50 to 100+ guests; tell us your number and we match accordingly.
